Has anyone ever tried any specific strategies to stay warm and cozy indoors during the winter months?

For sure. I have over sixty years of trying to stay warm in the northern winters.

Strategy number one is firewood. Cut firewood, cure firewood, stack firewood, and burn firewood in the woodstove or on the hearth. That is my all time favorite. It may not be ecologically the best solution, but firewood warms you several times even before you burn it.

I also believe in well-constructed long underwear. I bought some wonderful Australian wool longies that are priceless.

Trump said we don't need Canada's lumber. So a good incentive and subsidy to compete against the highly subsidized Canadian lumber industry for home construction is needed. What would Canadians do when they have no one to export their timber to?

A good sauna will warm you right to your bones. I stay much warmer much longer after a good sauna.

I use microwave heat packs several times a day during winter. An electric blanket is a godsend.

The “three dog night” is when it is SO cold that only three dogs on the bed will warm you up. I can personally speak very highly of the warmth and coziness of the traditional “three dog night”! There is nothing quite like a radiant German Shepherd or three to warm you right up.

How long can someone with narcissistic tendencies maintain a facade of fake love before their true self is revealed? Is there a specific trigger or amount of time that causes them to reveal their true nature?
